Latham IT Ltd. are looking for a highly skilled and experienced Web developer to join their growing team near Droxford, Hampshire. Latham IT Ltd. is a web development company specialising in application development. The company provides complete web and Intranet support primarily for businesses in south-east England with plans to expand to other parts of the UK.
As part of this role you will be expected to participate in regular technical and general group meetings, and will be comfortable working in a fast-paced and demanding industry. You will be a quick learner, with the capability of understanding and trialling new technologies as they become available. Opportunities exist for training and attendance at conferences. You will also be expected to travel to customers' sites on occasion for which expenses and mileage will be paid.
Main Responsibilities:- Build and maintain websites using HTML, CSS, PHP, MySQL and Javascript
- Meet with clients to discuss and understand requirements
- Support clients through maintenance and service level agreements to ensure their continued satisfaction
- Contribute to the design and development of new products & services
- Maintain an understanding of current and new web technologies & practices
- PHP (Object-oriented)
- MySQL, database design and management
- Accessible web design
- Hand-built HTML and CSS
- Javascript development (including AJAX)
- Apache configuration
- Windows and Linux server administration
- Search Engine optimisation
- Web design experience
- Use of Subversion version control system.
- Knowledge of the Adobe suite of products (including Fireworks and Dreamweaver).
- Experience of Google APIs.
The ideal candidate will have professional experience working in this industry, and will be able to demonstrate a knowledge of their experiences. Where previous professional experience is not available, the candidate will be expected to demonstrate that their personal educational experience is of equivalent standing.
